Founded by Kate Simpson, Owner and Creative Director, Nurtured opened its doors a little over eight months ago in Kelowna's vibrant and ever-evolving North End. Inspired by her desire to bring something fresh and distinctive to the Okanagan, Kate envisioned a destination that blends Scandinavian simplicity with the warmth and comfort of Canadian design.

At Nurtured, my intention is to weave together my deep reverence for nature, cherished personal rituals, and enriching travel experiences into a shoppe, inviting others to discover the serene and comforting essence of thoughtfully chosen décor.
There are deep roots connecting me with interior style - I was the little girl who found joy in transforming not just my own space but also those of friends. Inspired by my parents' fondness of Danish design, my own style is Nordic influenced, ebbing and flowing from season to season, embracing earthly textures and natural elements centred on beauty in all its forms.
Nurtured embodies a profound connection to the nurturing embrace of Mother Earth, embracing a holistic design philosophy that celebrates the cyclical rhythm of the seasons and encourages the enrichment of both home and self with exquisite objects.
